A Way of Working describes how data teams will collaborate and work together.

The Agile Data Way of Working adopts patterns from the AGILE, PRODUCT and DATA domains and applies them to the specific challenges data teams have when managing complex data in complex organisations.

Patterns is a widely used concept to describe good solutions to recurring problems using a common language.

I think of the Agile Data Ways of Working as a toolkit, a set of Lego blocks, not a methodology or a framework. 

Adopt the patterns that will work in your organisation and your teams context, ignore the ones that won’t.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with a myriad of organisations and data teams to craft new Ways of Working by blending patterns from agile and product domains with those from the data domain.

This journey has led to the creation of Agile Data Ways of Working, a toolkit of innovative patterns and pattern templates designed to change the way data teams and their organisations work.

These patterns and pattern templates have consistently proven their value, and I want to share my knowledge and experiences with you, so you too can benefit from them.

For far too long, data teams have been constrained by traditional, fixed-mindset methodologies that create unnecessary complexity, challenges and inefficiencies in their daily data work.

I love helping data teams change the way they work, deliver more value to their organisations, deliver it faster, and, most importantly, have more fun while doing it.

I do this by discovering, iterating, and sharing valuable patterns and reusable pattern templates.
